Chi Wu Fan at Mai Pao

Chi Wu Fan means "to eat lunch" in Mandarin (Google is my BFF). We decided to have lunch at Mai Pao Chinese Restaurant so we could try their toppings (rice). The place is really cozy and I love the background music. The price are reasonable. I ordered sweet and sour fish top. It was really sweet and sour. Yeah! My officemates ordered chicken mushroom top, asado pork top, and many more. We shared with the Maipao braised noodles, beef with brocolli, and szechuan chicken. (We spend approx. Php170 each)

Bob's Family Wagon

Last night, we had dinner at Bob's Restaurant along BS Aquino Drive front of Riverside Medical Center. We tried the Family Wagon which is good for 4-5 persons and only costs Php870. Cool, right? It includes Barbequed Pork Ribs, Beef Ribs, Barbequed Chicken, Baked Potatoes, Baked Beans, Onion Rings, Corn and Carrots.

Beeda Ang Sarap

Today, I had an amazing lunch at Jollibee. Not that I loved or hated their meals but it was just today that I enjoyed the Palabok and Chicken meal I had. My officemates ordered the Spaghetti and Chicken which are so perfect with each other and Burger Steak meal with flooding gravy. Yummy.

Haciendero sa Bistro Negrense

Bistro Negrense is located at Mayfair Plaza along Lacson Street front of Piazza Sorrento. They offer a range of typical haciendero's favorites like sizzling fish, tenderloin steak and hot broth of Kansi with a bone marrow.  Sigh. Bistro Negrense will really satisfy your craving for good food. (Price: about Php1300 good for 5 persons)

Big Mouth - Come hungry. Leave happy.

Located at the famous D* Mall of Boracay is the Big Mouth. The place is kinda small but clean. It is the perfect place to see celebrities passing by. The food we had is really good and affordable (150-250 per pax). Unfortunately, we didn't try the famous, tall and huge halo-halo because we were already full.

I forgot the name but this is a sweet and sour shrimp rice topping with onion rings

Eat Like An Emperor

I was very lucky that my company sent me to a short summer vacation at the Philippines' premier five-star resort, Shangri-la's Mactan Resort and Spa. The most important thing that came to my mind (except for the luxurious room and comfy bed) was the FOOD. I know this resort offers a range of tempting dining options to indulge in during your stay.

OK, first stop is the Breeze.  Dine by the beach. They serve "light" snacks, fresh juices and smoothies that will make you healthy and hydrated.

Next, dinner at Cowrie Cove.  A resort classic, they offer delicious al fresco dining in a charming beachside location. Note: very expensive. haha

 Weird starters

Cebu mango with sweetened sticky rice and coconut creamwith tapioca (They didn't charge this 'coz I complained that the mangoes were not yet sweet. haha)

This is my favorite alcoholic drink. Mango Rum Shake. Yum.

And the main star of the night: Grilled Lobster. This dish alone costs like about Php3,800. The most expensive dinner I had. Whew.

Crazy Little Thing Called Thai Food

Last Boracay summer, we stopped at Sa'Neh Thai Bar and Restaurant for lunch. After eating this thai food, I remembered the famous Thai film, Crazy Little Called Love starring Mario Maurer.

Thai food is known for its balance of the five fundamental taste senses in each dish or the overall meal: spicy, sour, sweet, salty, and bitter. AND GINGER!
